Jane is a potbelly pig who spent the early part of her life in cramped confinement. Shanda — known as Mama Misfit — rescued her and brought her to the Misfits of Oz sanctuary, where Jane finally had room and the care she had gone without.

This is Jane's real story, for readers who love animals and want to know what happens after the rescue: the daily work of looking after an animal who arrives needing everything, and the people who do that work.
