It is that time of year! The kids have the summer off and there are so many things to do!

Growing up you could usually find me outside under a tree with a book in my hand. And here I am years later bringing books to life! So this year I wanted to share some of my favorite books! Be aware that a few of these titles might be banned in some places but your local library should be able to order them for you.

A small note on banned books, AcuteByDesign does not agree that ANY book should ever be banned. Books are meant to educate and entertain. We have selected two banned books and plan to read them this summer! It is a shame and disheartening that so many authors are being censored. We hope that you take the summer and look into just a few of these 'banned' books!

Read them to understand what they are trying to teach/say. Read them to try to understand why they are being banned. And then just enjoy the world that these authors have created!

Be sure to take a look at our full catalog of books on our website; as well as a longer list of Summer Reading!

Peacefully Yours,

Michele
