Michele Thomas, an admitted Harry Potter superfan, has a background in both education and business and had served as assistant to the publisher, business manager, and editor
before her appointment as executive publisher of AcuteByDesign.
Michael Marion Sharpe
Adviser to Publisher
Michael has a background in both education and business, having spent many years in each before going on to found AcuteByDesign, in 2010 as a multicultural children’s book company. In June 2014 AcuteByDesign expanded its offerings to young adult and adult readers.
Tyrelle Smith is a freelance illustrator, concept artist, and character designer living in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art with a BFA and a focus in illustration.
Book Design Consultant
Meg Petrillo is an illustrator who grew up on the outskirts of Queens, NY. She devotes a lot of her time to creating art and encouraging new artists. She learned art at a public high school and SUNY FIT.
Rachel has been freelance editing fiction, non-fiction, and academic pieces for over five years. She has a BA in English from SUNY New Paltz and an MS in Publishing from Pace University.
Sanghamitra has over 27 years’ experience as an artist and layout artist. She is known for her quality artwork, attention to detail, and her creative thinking outside the box.
Writer & Editor
Wanda Coppedge is from Washington, DC and has served as an English instructor for over 17 years in the public and private sectors as well as a lecturer at Howard University and Maryland University. She’s earned her degree in Theater Arts at the University of the District of Columbia.
Yezanira (“Yeza”) Venecia is a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she double-majored in English and Psychology, with a minor in Sociology.
Mrs. Alexis Cameron is a successful Illustrator and Textile Designer from New York City. Cameron majored in Illustration and Textile Design at The Fashion Institute of Technology. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts during May 2018.
Book Design Consultant
Alana is an accomplished illustrator whose medium of choice is graphite and color pencils. Her special techniques are doing portraits, architecture, and illustrations in a realistic form.
